Route 2 in Jefferson Reduced to One Lane for Cleanup

NEK previously reported that emergency crews responded to downed wires and broken poles on Peddle-Dumptial Highway (Route 2) in Jefferson. New details have since emerged: At approximately 9:32 PM, Route 2 was reduced to one lane as cleanup efforts continued. A forestry truck was requested, and crews remained on scene for traffic control until flaggers arrived. Units from Bloomfield also advised of the one-lane situation. At 10:10 PM, flaggers arrived on scene and all Ludenburg units cleared the area. Motorists are advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible. Utility crews remain on site.
