At approximately 12:18 AM, Vermont State Police responded to an incident in Newport resulting in an arrest. According to initial reports, officers took one person into custody in connection with a silver 2016 Chevrolet sedan. The scene was declared safe and the individual was transported to a secure facility. Further details are limited at this time.
