At approximately 9:09 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, Woodstock Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 112 near Beaver Pond. Initial reports indicate a rollover crash with the vehicle going over a guardrail. Shortly after, dispatchers updated that the vehicle is on fire with entrapment. By 9:17 PM, Woodstock Fire reported they were shutting down Route 112 between mile markers 15 and 17 due to the incident. Crews on scene reported the vehicle had gone over a guardrail and was engulfed in flames with entrapment. Additional units arrived including Woodstock Engine 3 and Engine 4. Initial reports indicate the vehicle may have experienced brake failure before the crash. Officials are documenting the extent of guardrail damage. The number of occupants and their condition remain unknown. By 10:38 PM, Woodstock Command reported the scene was safe and the vehicle had been removed. Route 112 was fully reopened. Engine 3 returned out of service and Engine 4 returned in service as operations concluded. Authorities have not yet provided an update on the condition of any occupants.
