The Barton Chronicle published obituaries for three individuals with ties to the Northeast Kingdom in its July 1 edition.
Robert Alan Willhauck, 62, of Vermont, died in 2026. Born in Boston, he worked as a truck driver for more than 30 years before moving to Vermont and retiring due to injury. He is survived by his wife Debra and two daughters. A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, July 10, at St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton, Massachusetts.
Nancy Coggin Goad, 87, of Newport, died June 21. Originally from Georgia, she taught elementary school before moving to Vermont in 1991. She served as organist at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport for over 30 years. A funeral Mass is planned at the same church; details are forthcoming.
Reynold J. Galipeau, 91, formerly of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, died April 26 in Palm Beach, Florida. Born in Troy, Vermont, he graduated from the University of Vermont and served in the Army during the Korean conflict. No service information was provided.
