Propane Tank Leak Prompts Evacuation on Zappier Drive in St. Johnsbury

At approximately 8:17 AM, St. Johnsbury Fire Department was dispatched to 38 Zappier Drive for a propane tank leaking outside near the building. According to first responders, the building, which houses a daycare, was evacuated as a precaution. Crews used cylinders and conducted air monitoring. By 8:28 AM, units reported the leak was under control and they were metering the building. No injuries have been reported. The cause of the leak is under investigation.
