Trooper Benjamin Prandini of the Shaftsbury barracks responded to Green Mountain Trailer Park in Pownal on June 4, 2026. The call came in at 5:11 p.m. regarding threats made by a local resident toward several family members.
Investigators identified the suspect as Elijah Amidon, age 19, who lives in Pownal. Troopers determined that Amidon issued verbal threats to multiple relatives during the incident. The Vermont State Police did not release the names of the victims involved.
Amidon received a citation for Criminal Threatening. He must appear at the Bennington County Superior Court on July 20, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. for his arraignment. The court clerk noted that this date and time are subject to change.
The case remains open as the defendant awaits legal proceedings in the criminal division of Bennington County.
