North Country Hospital COVID testing site to close May 31

NEWPORT, The mobile COVID testing site at North Country Hospital will permanently close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, according to hospital police.

The site, located at 189 Prouty Drive on the hospital campus, is among the Vermont Department of Health public testing sites that will all conclude operations by June 25, 2022.

North Country Hospital Laboratory will continue to offer COVID testing for preop screenings and symptomatic outpatients with a provider’s order. Newport Ambulance, at 830 Union Street, will remain open for public testing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, until it also closes testing on June 25.
