At approximately 1:12 AM on Friday, June 5, Newport Fire and Newport Ambulance responded to a medical call on Newport Avenue in Newport City. According to first responders on scene, a female was found conscious and speaking with dispatchers over the phone. Reports indicate she had consumed one alcoholic drink earlier in the day. The nature of the medical complaint has not yet been released. Further details are pending as crews assess the situation.
