Newport Ambulance Responds to Chest Pain Call in Derby

At approximately 11:48 p.m. Saturday, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 584 Faulding Road in Derby for a 67-year-old female experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath. According to first responders, the woman may have suffered a heart attack the previous night. Crews were asked to respond with lights and sirens, and Newport 12 was among the units requested to assist. At 11:59 p.m., Newport 12 arrived on scene.

Shortly after arriving, Newport 12 reported a mechanical failure and requested assistance from Morgan Rescue. Newport 5 responded to assist. By approximately 12:18 a.m., the crew reported the situation was under control and cleared from the call. Newport 5 also cleared and returned to service.
