A new business has opened in downtown Island Pond, offering a variety of frozen treats. Granny's Scoops, co-owned by Paula Keenan and Paige Crowe, began serving customers July 1 in the building that formerly housed Hobo's Cafe on Cross Street.

The family owned shop features hard and soft ice cream, maple creamies, sundaes, and other frozen desserts.
