A Berlin man who had been missing for nearly a week was found dead Thursday night after a motorcycle crash on U.S. Route 2 in Shelburne, New Hampshire State Police said.
Wesley Grondin, 41, was last seen on July 4. A local resident who was independently searching for him found the crash scene around 10 p.m. on July 9, according to police.
Investigators believe Grondin was riding his motorcycle west on Route 2 shortly before midnight on July 4 when he crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a post. Police said there is "no indication that another vehicle or person was involved." The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
