At approximately 5:36 PM, Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 2057 Vermont Route 5A in Westmore for an 83-year-old male experiencing stroke-like symptoms, including slurred speech and weakness. The patient also has a history of a pacemaker, according to first responders. However, at approximately 6:02 PM, emergency crews reported that service was not needed and cleared the scene.
