At 11:37 AM, Newport Police and Orleans Ambulance responded to a medical call on Maple Hill Road in Barton for a male experiencing shortness of breath and extreme fatigue. The caller reported the man could not get out of bed and that the condition was "way off the baseline." Initial reports indicate the patient is an 82-year-old male. Additional units were en route as of 11:38 AM. Further details are awaited.
