House fire confirmed in Piermont, mutual aid canceled

At approximately 2:23 AM on June 1, dispatch requested mutual aid from surrounding fire departments to respond to a possible structure fire in Piermont, New Hampshire. According to first responders, Haverhill Fire Department was directed to respond with an engine and two tankers, and Newbury Fire Department with an engine and tanker. Units were instructed to stage at Route 10 and Route 42.

At approximately 2:33 AM, a unit on scene reported that the house was now on fire, with a tractor also on fire adjacent to propane tanks. "I do have an update from the scene. I believe the house is now on fire. There is a tractor that is caught on fire next to propane tanks," the unit stated.

At 2:37 AM, the incident commander canceled the mutual aid response, and all units were directed to return. The status of the fire and any injuries remains unclear at this time. Further details are pending.
