The Hardwick Police Department responded to a range of calls during the week of June 29 through July 5, including a reported theft, an overdose, and a suicide attempt, according to the department's media log.
On July 1, officers investigated a theft on Vermont Route 14 South. The following day, a traffic crash with no injuries was reported on Terrace Hill Road, and a property-damage accident occurred on South Main Street.
July 4 saw a suicide attempt on Mackville Road, an overdose on Buffalo Street, and multiple motor vehicle complaints. Officers also conducted numerous traffic stops throughout the week, concentrated on Vermont Routes 14, 15, and 16, as well as Wolcott Street and other local roads.
Other incidents included fingerprinting services at the High Street station, suspicious events, and assists to the public and other agencies. A driving-with-license-suspended violation was noted on Vermont Route 15 on July 4.
