Green Mountain Power will resume public tours of the Kingdom Community Wind Project in Lowell this summer after canceling them last year due to the pandemic, the utility announced.
Now in its seventh year, the free tours last about 90 minutes and take visitors to two of the project's 21 wind turbines. GMP experts guide the tours and explain how wind energy works.
Two tour dates are scheduled: Wednesday, June 30, at 10 a.m., and Saturday, July 24, at 10 a.m.
Hundreds of Vermonters and tourists visit the wind farm each year, according to GMP.
