Former Sutton selectman Timothy D. Simpson dies at 69

Timothy D. Simpson, 69, a lifelong Sutton resident and former selectman for more than 30 years, died June 27, 2026, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He was born March 16, 1957, in St. Johnsbury.

Simpson was a dairy farmer who built and cared for the registered Holstein herd at Don-Sim Farm and later worked for Simpson Farm. He served as a Sutton selectman for over three decades, known for his integrity and willingness to help neighbors. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianna, four children, and several grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held July 17 at 2 p.m. at the Sutton School Multipurpose Room, 95 Underpass Road, Sutton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lyndon Institute Football Program.
