At approximately 2:44 a.m., Newport Ambulance was dispatched to 35 Crawford Road in Derby, the state police barracks, for a female in custody complaining of leg pain. Units were en route and arrived shortly after. The nature of the custody was not immediately clear, but first responders provided medical evaluation and treatment as needed.
