A multiagency search was launched in Westmore Monday afternoon following reports of a possible plane crash, according to police. Emergency responders from multiple departments converged on the area and spoke with residents after the alert was received.
The incident was ultimately determined to be a false alarm, stemming from a faulty alert system. No crash or injuries were reported.
