At approximately 8:49 PM, Vermont State Police received a relayed call from Suffolk County, New York, regarding a 14-year-old female who reported taking Benadryl in an attempt to end her life. The phone was pinging in Westfield, Vermont. Emergency responders are being dispatched to the area. Further details are pending.

At 8:53 PM, dispatchers advised that the closest landmark to the phone's location is off Route 242 near the J Trailhead. At 8:56 PM, a trooper on Evansville Road requested a K9 unit to respond to the trailhead to assist in locating the juvenile. Efforts to contact the juvenile via phone are ongoing.

At 9:11 PM, dispatchers provided an update that the phone's ping radius is over 1,000 meters, indicating a large search area. At approximately 9:34 PM, a trooper in Derby reported closing out a suspicious call related to the case and indicated they had obtained the mother's name from the New York phone tree system, though no contact number was available.

At 9:35 PM, dispatchers reported that the correct address was determined to be 109 Monroe Road in Troy. Shortly after, the juvenile's mother was contacted via phone. At 9:45 PM, troopers reported that the juvenile was vomiting. The mother indicated she believed the juvenile was okay but needed to be transported to a hospital. Responders were advised to stand by until further information was received. The search and medical response are ongoing.
