On June 16, the Vermont State Historic Preservation Office awarded its 2026 preservation award to the John Woodruff Simpson Memorial Library in East Craftsbury.
The library was founded circa 1978 by Jean Walker Simpson, known to patrons as "Miss Jean," the library said.
