The Northern Vermont Economic Development District (NVEDD) has released the Draft 2026-2031 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for a 30-day public comment period. The document serves as a five-year roadmap for economic development investments in Grand Isle, Franklin, Lamoille, Orleans, Caledonia, and Essex counties.

The CEDS outlines priorities in areas such as economic resilience, business growth, infrastructure, workforce development, quality of life, and disaster preparedness. Community members, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to review the draft and submit feedback.

The draft is available online at NVEDD's website. NVEDD is a federally designated Economic Development District supported by the U.S. Economic Development Administration, partnering with regional planning commissions, economic development corporations, municipalities, and community development agencies.
