At 10:50 AM, emergency responders were dispatched to 694 Vermont Route 5A in Charleston for a 68-year-old female who was pulled down the stairs by her dog and struck her head. According to first responders, the patient sustained a gash on her face and was conscious and talking at the scene. Morgan Rescue and Newport Police responded. Dispatchers confirmed that the dog was secured and someone was providing care to the patient. Additional details are limited at this time.
