At approximately 12:54 PM on May 28, 2026, Newport Ambulance and Orleans Fire were dispatched to a crash notification on Interstate 91 southbound near mile marker 165.8 in Coventry. Initial reports indicated a possible crash. Upon arrival, Newport 12 reported finding a cell phone on the side of the road but no vehicle. Crews continued to the Orleans exit without locating any crash scene or injured parties. The scene was cleared and units were back in service at 1:04 PM.
