The 10th annual Craftsbury Block Party took place Friday, July 3, drawing residents and visitors for an evening of food, music, and community activities. The event was organized by The Genny, with support from the Town of Craftsbury and CVillage Store, along with donations from local businesses, community members, and organizations. A grant from the Streets as Places program also helped fund the celebration.
Grill masters Michael Roussell and Jared Nunery cooked approximately 1,200 sausages and 500 hot dogs for attendees. An ice-filled canoe held 1,000 bottles and cans of water, soda, and seltzers for anyone to take. Activities included a slip and slide set up behind The Genny, and four bands performed, including the Jeff Wilson Band of Burlington.
The event relied heavily on volunteers, according to organizers. Photos from the evening show families, children playing, and a crowd gathered on the town green.
