Just past 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 13 students in white and blue robes processed through a crowd of well-wishers on Craftsbury Common, taking seats on either side of the stage at the bandstand. They were Craftsbury Academy's class of 2026.
Principal Lisa McCarthy addressed the graduates, faculty, families, and community members. "At the heart of every strong community is its school and at the heart of every strong school is its community," McCarthy said. "We are so fortunate to have both in Craftsbury. This school does not exist in isolation. It lives and breathes because of the involvement of our families and community, your time, your effort, your support, and your belief in what we do."
