At approximately 1:09 PM, Newport City Fire and Newport Ambulance were dispatched to 19433 in Newport City for a possible carbon monoxide alarm. According to initial reports, a smoke detector was sounding and a double signal indicated a CO alarm. An occupant reported feeling lightheaded and was advised to evacuate. Emergency responders are on scene investigating the source of the alarm and assessing the occupant's condition.
