Car vs deer crash on I-91 in Newbury, minor injuries reported

Vermont State Police responded to a car versus deer crash on Interstate 91 north near mile marker 103 in Newbury on July 25 at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Troopers determined that a deer entered the roadway and was struck by a 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, leaving the vehicle disabled. The operator, Annette Hart, 55, of Groton, reported a suspected minor injury but was not transported to a hospital. Passengers Meghan Flanagan, 32, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mackenzie Hart, 28, of Woodsville, New Hampshire, were not injured. All three were wearing seat belts.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front driver's side. Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were assisted by Upper Valley Ambulance and the Bradford Fire Department.
