The Beebe Spur Rail Trail in Derby is the subject of a new management plan now open for public review. The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is leading the process, which aims to coordinate and promote the trail along with connecting paths.
The Derby trail links to Memphremagog Trails, the Newport Bike Path, and trails at Scott’s Farm. Police hope the unified approach will draw more visitors to the area by marketing the entire network as a recreation destination.
VTrans is seeking public input on the draft plan. The review period is part of the agency’s effort to guide future maintenance and improvements to the corridor.
