The Greensboro Free Library will host a program on Vermont's native bees on Thursday, June 18, at 5:30 p.m. Spencer Hardy, a bee biologist with the Vermont Center for Ecostudies, will lead the discussion.
Hardy will cover topics including the natural history of bees, identification, conservation, and the relationship between native species and the European honey bee. Vermont is home to an estimated 350 species of wild bees.
The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. For more information, contact the Greensboro Free Library or visit its website.
