A barn on McRae Road in Champlain, New York, was destroyed by fire Friday afternoon, according to local police.
Fire crews responded around 4 p.m. on June 12. Police said no humans or cows were inside the structure at the time, only hay. The owner, who was mowing the lawn, reported seeing a storm approaching shortly before the barn caught fire.
The cause remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
