At approximately 11:17 a.m., Newport Police and Newport Ambulance were dispatched to 129 Lake Street in Newport City for an 81-year-old woman who fell and struck her head, according to initial reports. The woman's condition is not yet known. Emergency crews are on scene providing evaluation and care. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
