At approximately 4:38 PM, emergency dispatchers received a report of a washout at 581 Trudeau Road in Jefferson. According to callers, the washout originated from a facility and was crossing the road into a culvert, with dirt and debris accumulating on the roadway. An environmentalist on scene indicated potential contamination. Crews from Casella are attempting to divert the flow, and police have been notified to alert the highway department. At approximately 6:05 PM, crews reported the scene was clear.
