At approximately 3:20 PM, Vermont State Police began searching for a missing nonverbal male in the Northeast Kingdom. According to units on scene, the man was last seen near a residence with a system of hiking trails behind it. He is described as wearing khaki shorts, a faded olive green polo shirt, and having light gray hair of a normal length for his age. He does not believe to be wearing glasses. Police describe him as nonverbal. At 3:23 PM, units broadcast the description again, noting light gray hair and no glasses.
At 3:30 PM, police reported that residents in the St. Johnsbury area had not seen the missing individual but agreed to keep an eye out. At 3:39 PM, one unit cleared the scene. At approximately 5:51 PM, a warden and a unit reported back at the case address with negative contact on the track, indicating they had not located the missing man. The search continues. No additional details are available at this time.
