At approximately 6:12 PM, Vermont State Police received a report of a code 3 emergency involving a gray Toyota RAV4 with Vermont plate Victor 4308 and an American flag decal in Derby. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to initiate a stop. The vehicle was described as all over the road, driving in the opposing lane.
By 6:20 PM, officers successfully stopped the vehicle near Derby Mobile Home Park on DUI Road. According to initial reports, officers had initially attempted to stop the vehicle on Phoebe Road and US-5, but the vehicle continued, prompting a follow with lights and sirens due to safety concerns. The driver was operating erratically, almost traveling in the other lane. EMS was also requested to the scene. A DUI investigation is underway. The incident remains active.
