At approximately 8:12 PM, Vermont State Police received a report of a suspicious crash in the area of Boudreaux Road and Loop Road in Troy. Homeowners witnessed a vehicle crash into a field. The male operator fled on foot, leaving a female passenger on scene. Fire and emergency crews responded.

At around 8:48 PM, units on scene reported that the vehicle was completely off the road and no longer a hazard. A tow truck from Trusted Towing was dispatched to the location. The status of the operator remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
