Tree Down on Wires, Smoke Reported in Jefferson

At 07:59 PM, Jefferson Fire Department was dispatched to 173 Meadows Road in Jefferson for a tree down on power lines with smoke reported inside the residence. Initial reports indicated that a tree had fallen onto electrical wires, and smoke was observed coming from the house. By 08:30 PM, firefighters reported that they had found the source of the smoke condition and had the situation under control. Crews were still working on a second source. No injuries have been reported. Further details will be provided as they become available.
