At 9:37 PM, Littleton Fire Department was dispatched to Amerigas at 165 Beacon Street in Littleton for a reported lightning strike to a propane tank. According to initial reports, the lightning struck the tank directly, and a loud machine-like sound was heard along with a smell of propane. Units are responding and assessing the situation. No injuries have been reported at this time. Further details will be provided as they become available.
