At approximately 3:32 PM on July 17, 2026, emergency crews were dispatched to 649 Monroe Road in Monroe, New Hampshire, for a report of a tree down on wires. The tree is blocking both lanes of Monroe Road and hanging over the roadway, causing traffic to back up. According to first responders, a subject on scene reported that the power company was already en route and should arrive shortly. An initial report indicates a pole may also be involved. Crews are coordinating with the power company. Further details on the extent of the damage and estimated time of clearance are not yet available.
At approximately 4:37 PM, first responders reported that the tree had been removed and traffic had reopened.
