At approximately 7:44 PM, the Lunenburg Fire Department was dispatched to 1339 Lancaster Road in Lunenburg for a report of a tree and wires down with wires smoking and the road blocked. Lunenburg Rescue 1 responded. Initial reports indicated that the road was completely blocked due to the incident. At 7:53 PM, Lunenburg Rescue 1 confirmed the route was completely shut down. Crews requested a brush truck to check Route 2 near the scene for a tire that was seen coming down the hill. Eversource has been notified. No injuries have been reported. Residents are advised to avoid the area and treat all downed wires as live. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
