At approximately 1:33 AM, Vermont State Police responded to a report of a tree down on Route 5 in Barnet. The tree was blocking the southbound lane about a mile north of the intersection with Troop Brook Road. By about 1:58 AM, crews reported they were able to move a good portion of the debris, but a mess remains in the roadway, with the main portion along the power line. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area as crews continue to work. Further details are pending.
