At approximately 11:31 PM, St. Johnsbury police units were alerted to a dark-colored pickup truck that reportedly damaged a mailbox and possibly a utility pole in the area of Route 122 in Wheelock. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Sheffield, according to initial radio reports. The pickup truck may have been dragging a mailbox after the incident. Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for the vehicle. No additional description has been released. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
