At approximately 5:08 PM, Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop on Beach Hill on Route 111 in Derby. The stop involved a black Kawasaki 500 motorcycle. During the stop, a records check revealed that the motorcycle's registration had expired in 2022 and was invalid. The rider was identified, and further checks returned negative for any outstanding warrants. The unit returned to patrol. The investigation is ongoing.
