At approximately 2:37 PM, emergency personnel were dispatched to Pond Hill Road in Littleton after a firefighter discovered two toddlers walking on the side of the road in diapers with severe bug bites. According to dispatch, the children were found near a water tub. The toddlers are approximately four and three years old, and one has severe bug bites on the back and lower leg. Both were reported conscious, breathing, and alert. Multiple agencies including NORPAC, Gilman EMS, and Lancaster Ambulance responded to the scene. Lancaster Ambulance 3 arrived on the scene shortly after 2:38 PM. Police, fire, and EMS remain on scene evaluating the children.
At approximately 3:06 PM, an additional ambulance was requested to the scene. Fire departments from multiple jurisdictions responded. By 3:09 PM, a unit on scene reported that the situation was under control. The children remain under evaluation by medical personnel.
At approximately 3:34 PM, Lancaster Ambulance 3 cleared the scene after the patient refused transport.
