Vermont State Police are investigating a suspicious death in Brownington, a small town in Orleans County, after a man was found dead early Wednesday morning.
Police received a report of a deceased man at a home just outside Brownington at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to a statement from the Vermont State Police. First responders located the body at the scene.
An initial investigation indicates the incident stemmed from a dispute involving individuals who knew each other, police said. The victim's body will be transported to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Burlington for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
No arrests have been announced, but state police said the parties involved have been identified and accounted for.
