At approximately 8:12 PM, fire crews were dispatched to 183 Center Street in Lyndon for a report of smoke coming from the basement. Initial reports indicated everyone was out of the residence and no flames were visible.

By 8:18 PM, the situation escalated as smoke was reported showing from the second floor on three sides. The fire was upgraded to a working fire, and a Code 3 emergency response was initiated. Mutual aid was requested from neighboring departments, including an engine from St. Johnsbury.

At 8:20 PM, units on scene confirmed smoke showing from the second floor on three sides. All occupants had been accounted for and were out of the building. Firefighters were working to contain the fire and prevent further spread.

At 10:00 PM, a personnel accountability check was conducted at the scene. Water supply operations continued with the assistance of multiple tanker shuttles. Mutual aid units remained on scene assisting.

At approximately 10:18 PM, command at Center Street cleared Lyndon 92 from the scene, and the unit returned to quarters. The incident was reported under control, with crews beginning to pack up equipment. Further details may be released as the investigation continues.
