Sheriff Activity on Main Street in Lisbon

Sheriff Activity on Main Street in Lisbon

This is a follow-up to NEK's earlier report (Stroke Call at Bel Air Nursing Home in Newport, June 11). New details below.

This is a developing story. Details are preliminary and subject to change as more information becomes available.

At approximately 8:38 PM, a Grafton County sheriff deputy reported being on Main Street in Lisbon. Additional units were dispatched from the Littleton area to assist. The nature of the activity was not immediately clear. This incident follows reports of shots fired from a vehicle near Lisbon earlier Friday, which remained under investigation.

At approximately 9:05 PM, a sheriff deputy reported heading to the Lisbon Police Department and that a person would be transported to Littleton Regional Healthcare. It was indicated that Lisbon Police would handle the transport. Further details are pending.

At approximately 10:20 PM, the deputy reported that Engine 1 was on scene with command established and that there were more people present. The deputy stated he would travel up Route 303 towards Littleton to check for any additional subjects. At 10:25 PM, the deputy confirmed being on scene and that additional units were en route.

At 11:00 PM, command terminated and Engine 1 returned. At 11:02 PM, Sheriff 9 confirmed there were no further pending calls for Lisbon, indicating the incident had concluded.
