At approximately 11:22 PM, Newport Ambulance, Derby Line Fire Department, and Newport Police were dispatched to 584 Holland Road in Derby Line following a 911 text report of a serious crash with injury. Initial reports indicated a possible motor vehicle accident with injury at that location. First arriving units reported no sign of a vehicle initially, but Derby Line Fire later reported they were on scene and believed they had located the vehicle. Vermont State Police advised they would not be responding due to being tied up on another call. At approximately 11:41 PM, a unit reported clearing the scene and returning to service. Dispatch later noted that the 911 text had routed through Canadian cell towers, preventing location radius data. The incident remains under investigation.
