The Salvation Army Northern New England has closed its thrift stores in St. Johnsbury and West Lebanon, effective June 16. The store at 250 Railroad Street in St. Johnsbury and the one at 7 Martin Drive in West Lebanon have shut their doors permanently.
“After careful review, we determined that closing the stores is a necessary step to ensure that our programs and services remain strong,” said Shaun Belanger of The Salvation Army.
Other Salvation Army services in the area will continue, with the Barre Corps Community Center now serving individuals and families across the region. Additional community centers are located in Berlin, Laconia, and Rutland.
