At approximately 10:29 PM, St. Johnsbury Police were dispatched to a report of a protective order violation in the area of Portland Street. According to initial reports, a woman reported that a man who had been served with a protective order contacted her and was parked across the street from a local bank waving at her. Police investigated and confirmed that the man had called the protected person. Officers were then authorized to take him into custody. The man was taken into custody and transported to the police station. Further details are pending.
